Independent Film Festival


    The Corona Invitational Independent film festival was founded in 2004 by Corona based filmmaker Rene H. Hernandez. The event is also known as the sister festival of the "Knight of shorts" film festival. For one night only, the festival invites a selection of films for it's showcase.

    Ever year, the event includeds a special quest filmmaker of the evening. The guest filmmaker is awarded the festival's honorary award, "The ARRIBA" award. Meaning: May he/she soar to great new heights in the film industry.

    The 2006 CIIFF welcomed independent Sci-Fi filmmaker Lou Klein. He is the writer, producer, director, and co-star or the world renowned fan film, "Star Wars: Contract of Evil." The Film follows the trials of a young Darth Maul, a soon to be Dark Lord of the Sith.
